Nando’s Employee’s ‘Creepy’ Texts To Female Customer Go Viral

In a day and age where customer service can make its way onto social media and in front of millions of eyes in the space of a few hours, it still surprises me when I see stuff like this.
Posting on Reddit last night, user tjstanding provided four screenshots of what are allegedly text messages from a Nando’s restaurant employee to his girlfriend, after she called a UK branch of the chicken emporium a whopping week earlier.
In the messages, the unknown employee attempts to ask Becky, our Reddit user’s girlfriend, out following an incredibly cringeworthy build up featuring some very questionable emojie usage. Here are the messages in full…

They were only posted last night, and in the time since, have racked up 60,000 views on Imgur and have front-paged on Reddit with a whopping 5000+ upvotes.
This is possibly down to the very last text, in which the levels of awkwardness are stepped up tenfold in what is possibly the worst attempt at a recovery in the history of text messaging. Yes, I’m talking in text messaging’s 24 year history.
Reddit users were collectively feeling the strain of the unbearableness, and displayed this pretty well in the comments…

This isn’t the only set of weird, cringey text messages though. There are countless others just like them in the same subreddit which can both melt your face and send you into hysterics at the same time.
Seriously, people. Think before you send.
